Bellocale is own and operated by husband and wife kevin and Summer.
With kevin born and raised in cairns backed his bags at the age of 17 to pursue his cooking career in the food capital of Australia in Sydney.He first started out his apprenticeship for one of Australia's biggest seafood restaurant chain which led on down the track of him being the executive chef for one of their flag ship located at Bondi Beach.
During his apprentice he worked a few fine dining French restaurants but it wasn't until he finished his apprenticeship that he fell in love with Italian cooking.
With over 10 years of experience cooking Italian cuisine it was in 2012 where Kevin and Summer fell in love.

Summer with 5 years’ experience as a pastry chef working at some of the best awarded chef hats restaurants in Australia had to end her career in the kitchen due to a shoulder injury. From there she decided to move to front of house as a waitress and work her way back up the chain where she became a leading manager in Banquet for some the finest hotels in Sydney.

It wasn’t until 2016 that Kevin and Summer wanted a sea change from the busy and hectic city of Australia to the calm and relaxing town of Cairns. After taking over Bellocale in 2017 it wasn’t until 2018 where Kevin & Summer have decided to rebrand Bellocale from the menu to the décor to create more of a relaxed casual dining. Evan though bellocale has changed the menu they did keep most of the popular dishes from the previous chef while adding some of Kevin’s new signature dishes.
