Established in 2010, Bellocale has been serving Cairns locals and visitors with modern Italian cuisine, warm hospitality and a relaxed dining experience.

Proudly owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Kevin and Summer, Bellocale brings together their shared passion for food and hospitality.

Born and raised in Cairns, Kevin left for Sydney at 17 to pursue his career as a chef. After gaining experience in seafood and fine-dining restaurants, including becoming Executive Chef at a flagship Bondi Beach restaurant, he discovered his passion for Italian cuisine — a style of cooking he has now enjoyed for more than 20 years.

Summer began her career as a pastry chef, working in highly regarded Chef Hat restaurants before moving into front-of-house and banquet management with some of Sydney’s finest hotels.

After meeting in 2012, Kevin and Summer eventually left Sydney for Cairns and took over Bellocale in 2017. Together, they transformed the restaurant into the relaxed Italian dining experience it is today, combining Kevin’s Italian cooking with Summer’s passion for genuine hospitality.

Our menu celebrates Italian flavours and quality Far North Queensland produce, from fresh local casught seafood  to premium Tablelands beef, complemented by a carefully selected range of Australian and Italian wines.
